Who is MilWrite?

Randy H. Milgrom
Creator, MilWrite Communications

Randy MilgromRandy H. Milgrom has since 1991 owned and operated MilWrite Communications, a business communications and public relations firm specializing in high-profile executive messages. At MilWrite Randy is eager for new and exciting opportunities to work with innovative people seeking to inform and entertain in imaginative ways. Randy brings his own ideas to your project, and he won't hesitate to offer his opinions. But he's also an attentive listener; a brainstormer and collaborator - and he wants nothing more than to solve his client's problems, advance their causes, and create the best writing that good thinking and hard work can generate.

Randy holds a BA in Philosophy and English from the University of Michigan and a JD from the UCLA School of Law. Following a 10-year corporate and entertainment law practice that taught him the value of money and the meaning of boredom, Randy has devoted the last two decades to the art and science of writing, and to honing his craft. Randy writes speeches for business executives, coaches, and academics, and he is co-writer, ghost-writer, and/or editor of numerous business and sports-related books. As a freelance writer and journalist Randy has published hundreds of news stories and features, many of them written during stints as sports editor at Michigan Alumnus and Ann Arbor Observer and as a regular contributor to the MetroLife section of The Detroit News. His "A Middle-aged Basketball Odyssey" (Ann Arbor Observer, March 2000) was selected by Glenn Stout, series editor of The Best American Sports Writing, as among the Notable Sports Writing of 2000.

Randy also reads and writes fiction. He likes to travel, run, bicycle, play and watch golf on TV, and observe the Michigan high school basketball scene. (He used to play basketball but his hamstrings gave out.) He is always thinking about his wife and son, and conspiring to spend more time with them.
